PADI TEC 40 course
-
The course takes place at a location where it transforms the mindset of a recreational diver into a technical one.
-
The course is the first step towards becoming a fully-fledged technical diver and serves as a practical bridge between recreational diving and initial decompression dives in technical diving.
-
It is a fundamental technical course where you will enhance your skills and techniques that will be necessary for technical diving.
-
At this stage, it is still allowed to use partially recreational equipment, or you can already be in full technical gear.
-
It is also possible to complete the course in a sidemount configuration, which is becoming increasingly popular worldwide.
-
You will learn how to plan and execute decompression dives using an additional aluminum cylinder, known as a stage, which is mounted on your left side. It contains Nitrox 50% gas.
-
The course consists of four dives; the first dive can also be done in a pool, which is ideal for the winter season, while the rest are conducted in the spring/summer months.
-
During the course, you will become acquainted with programs for planning technical dives.
-
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to dive to a depth of 40m with a maximum of 10 minutes of decompression.
-
This course is a prerequisite for the next course, the PADI TEC 45 program.
